Each year, the Optimist Club hosts a community child safety fair that will help parents, grandparents and children get important information on how best to protect their children. Featured programs include Police, Fire & EMSA who will be supervising tours of their safety vehicles, fingerprinting, water safety, Internet Safety, gun safety, and a vehicle rollover simulator along with child safety seat checks and free safety equipment (such as bicycle helmets, smoke detectors & DNA kits) given to attendees.
